DS Virtual Console launches on Wii U in Japan with free Brain Training

We knew that they were coming although not when, but overnight has marked the arrival of the first Nintendo DS game to join Wii U’s Virtual Console service in Japan.

Somewhat predictably it is Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain? that has set the ball in motion. But, with little fanfare as yet, this has currently been made available entirely free of charge through the Nintendo eShop.

There’s no indication as to when it will arrive in either Europe or North America, but this closely follows Game Boy Advance titles that started joining the service in April.
