The Pokémon Company held a Kanto Classic Online Competition for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire players earlier this month, an event that looked to celebrate 20 years of Pokémon battles.
That saw the rules mirror competitive play from Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue, with participants only allowed to use teams comprised from the first 149 Pokémon in the National Pokédex.
Battles took place between Friday 4th – Sunday 6th March where 50,000 players participating, with those that played at least three battles qualifying to receive a serial code for a special Dragonite that was inspired by the one seen in Elite Four Trainer Lance’s team.
That Dragonite is now being distributed, with serial codes needing to be redeemed before midnight UTC on Wednesday 27th April 2016.
The Dragonite is Level 62 with the ability Inner Focus, which prevents the Pokémon from flinching. It has the moves Agility, Barrier, Slam and Hyper Beam.
