Reverb Triple XP and VICO Game Studio have announced that Action Arcade Wrestling will soon see release on Nintendo Switch, marking “a return to the ridiculous ruckus of arcade wrestling.”
Looking to bring back everything that you loved about ’90s wrestling games “with its own twist of chaos and fun,” you will be able to select from more than 30 extraordinary wrestlers before unleashing their abilities in the ring.
That could see you wield El Universo’s cosmic power, unleash laser beams from the futuristic K-FaY13E or even drop radioactive attacks from Biohazard. If their powerful attacks and superhero-like abilities aren’t what you’re looking for, you can rely on your imagination to create the ultimate wrestling hero or villain from hundreds of customisation options.
“We wanted to capture everything we loved from the fast-paced arcade wrestling games we grew up with in Action Arcade Wrestling,” explains VICO Game Studio lead programmer and producer Eugene Tchoukhrov. “It was really important to make this game fun to control, easy to get into, and have a lot of outlandish antics – if you aren’t into dressing up in fancy tights while body slamming your friends with electricity, you aren’t living life to the fullest!”
Action Arcade Wrestling will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Spring 2021.
