Nintendo has presented a chance to befriend rare Yo-kai with QR Code patterns, with Darknyan becoming the first to add to the Yo-kai Medallium.
These patterns will work in Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters, Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits and Yo-kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls, with each QR Code able to be used once in each version.
Once players have access to Piggleston Bank, the Darknyan QR Code pattern can be scanned to receive the Dark Bell. Then, after defeating the final boss, players must use Miradox to travel to the past and head to Sunset Mfg. Co. – Furnace 1 where they will find Darknyan. Talk to Darknyan, and you will have a chance to befriend him once per day.
New QR Code patterns will be released in the coming months and there are more out in the wild – which we expect will give you the chance to befriend Hovernyan, Jibakoma, and Jetnyan, among others.
