Ubisoft has shared a new story trailer for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, which is weeks away from release on Nintendo Switch.
In this sequel to the turn-based tactics RPG smash hit Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, you will once again have the chance to team up with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi and their friends as you set out on a galactic journey “to restore order as Cursa, a mysterious and malevolent entity, twists the planets with its evil influence.”
Cursa is inflicting chaos on the planets and their quirky inhabitants in an effort to consume all the energy of the Sparks, which are creatures formed by the fusion of Lumas and Rabbids.
Your adventure will see you explore incredible worlds and fight enemies in battles that mix turn-based tactics and real-time movements. Building your dream team of three heroes from an “eclectic” roster of nine, you will need to be strategic as you dash your enemies, team jump on your allies and hide behind cover.
There are dozens of Sparks scattered across the galaxy that you will need to rescue, which each have their own distinct power and personality – their special abilities being useful to your heroes to help gain the upper hand in combat.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features as below:
- Build your dream team with three heroes from an eclectic roster of nine.
- Take down all new bosses, along with some familiar enemies throughout the galaxy.
- Rescue the adorable Sparks throughout the galaxy, who provide distinct powers that will help you in battle.
- Unleash your heroes’ skills but be strategic as you dash your enemies, team jump on your allies, and hide behind covers.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 20th October 2022.
