Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that Scribblenauts Showdown will release on Nintendo Switch, a new take on the puzzle-action series that will let players face off in fast-paced multiplayer party experiences.
With two new party game modes, up to four players can face off in Showdown mode where they will imagine their way through card-based strategy and creative skill.
“Wordy” mini-games will challenge players to unleash their best object or character from nearly 35,000 words in the Scribblenauts dictionary to outsmart their opponents. Whereas the action-oriented “Speedy” mini-games will reward whoever is first to complete the given challenge, and, for both mini-games, a board game-style map will display each player’s progress.
In Versus mode, up to two players can go head-to-head in more than 25 mini-games that will change for each session. And then Sandbox mode will allow one or two players to solve objectives in eight new levels, where they must summon any object to earn Starites, uncover those that are hidden, and unlock achievements.
Players will also have the chance to choose or customise their own original Scribblenaut to represent them in the game, with more clothing and accessories becoming unlocked as you earn Starites.

Interactive Entertainment. “Players of all skill levels will enjoy testing their creativity in the fast-paced, head-to-head party-style gameplay.”
Scribblenauts Showdown will release for Nintendo Switch on March 6th in North America, and March 9th in Europe.
