Uppercut Games has announced that City of Brass will release on Nintendo Switch next month, an Arabian Nights-inspired first-person rogue-lite adventure that has been created by BioShock veterans.

With procedurally-generated environments that see the city’s labyrinthine streets shift on every run, you must set out to plunder the fabled treasures that lie hidden within its accursed walls.

Your character is armed with a bullwhip and blades, that you must use to lash and slash your way through the legions of lost souls who guard the treacherous city.

And, while your whip can be used to disarm, trip and stun foes, you can also grab far away objects that let you swing to safety or manipulate booby traps.

With gameplay modifiers that let you adjust the game to your liking, the Nintendo Switch port will come with three unlockable characters in the fast but frail knife-fighting Brigand, the spear-throwing Soldier and the strong but slow Hellion genie.

“City of Brass brings the stories from Arabian Nights to life in a fast-paced hack-and-slash adventure that draws on our team’s experience working on titles like the BioShock series,” explains Uppercut Games co-founder and designer Ed Orman.

“We’ve continued to support the game since it launched earlier this year and look forward to introducing it to a new audience with all those improvements baked in when City of Brass comes to Nintendo Switch this February.”

City of Brass will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on February 8th.
