Ripstone Games has released free and paid downloadable content for Chess Ultra, presenting players with the chance to add new chess sets and environments to the experience.

The Easter Island Chess Set is now available for free and introduces pieces inspired by the Moai of Easter Island in Polynesia, while the Pantheon Game Pack will see pieces based on Imperial Roman soldiers clash on a stone checkerboard. And then, the Imperial Chess Set has exquisitely crafted pieces studded with expensive jewels.

The Academy Game Pack will release next week and has pieces that take inspiration from the rarer sets made by talented Russian chess carvers in Kholmogory, and there are plans to release more DLC in 2018.
