Despite achieving sales of nearly 2 million units in just two days across Japan, Capcom are seemingly hesitant as to how successful Monster Hunter 4 will be if they spend the time localising it for the west.

Responding to a Twitter campaign to draw attention to demand from fans, the publisher explained that they are “continuing to evaluate new Monster Hunter titles for the west” and would notify everyone once they have an update.

“Hey hunters! We’ve seen many of you ask for us to #BRINGMH4TOTHEWEST,” their Facebook post began. “We’re excited to see the fan base growing and you all showing your passion, keep it coming! We are continuing to evaluate new Monster Hunter titles for the west, and will share any new information with you here on Facebook as soon as we have it.”
