Call of Duty: Ghosts Wii U sales beaten by PS4 in UK

Call of Duty: Ghosts bombastically stormed the UK all-formats charts this week to plant itself in first place.

Sadly, sales of the Wii U version did little to help this in accounting for less than one percent of copies shifted in the first week. Whether it will affect Activision’s future decisions to deliver their annual franchise to Nintendo’s console is unclear, but it is a little startling to find that even the PlayStation 4 version outsold it – a console that isn’t even available until November 29th.

As can be expected, the Xbox 360 secured the lions share with 62 percent of sales, whilst the PlayStation 3 clawed a sizeable 34 percent chunk.

Elsewhere, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy debuted in 13th, which Nintendo will hope is a promising start for the academic’s latest outing.
