Cadence Of Hyrule Deku Seed Locations And Where To Trade Them

Defeat a Deku Scrub in Cadence of Hyrule, and you will be rewarded with Deku Seeds. These small, hard seeds are normally used as Slingshot ammunition in The Legend of Zelda series, but, in this rhythmic action-adventure, they are an item that you can trade.

The problem is while the game hints that someone out there will trade them with you, it doesn’t point you in the right direction as to where or with who. That is unless you turn to Google for help.

You will need to head to the Lost Woods, but, given that the overworld is randomly generated, we can’t indicate in which area it will be located in your game.

What we can say, though, is that if you are looking for the Deku Seed locations, then, as you explore, any that you may have missed will appear on the Map screen. It’s the brown, spherical symbol with a yellow-greenish line running through it – you can see the screenshot above, as an example.

You will need 20 Deku Seeds to be handed the game’s rewards for your efforts, as, once you have discovered the Lost Woods, you should then look out for a tree stump with a cross that has been carved into it.

This is where you will find Tingle, who, familiar to longtime fans, is the person that will happily make a trade for your hard-earned Deku Seeds. That is, once he’s woken up – make sure that you have completed the puzzle in the Lost Woods first.

The reward for the first 10 Deku Seeds that you have collected will be to double your magic and stamina gauges, with your next 10 Deku Seeds rewarding you with the secret, unlockable character – Yves, the Deku Scrub.

Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring the Legend of Zelda is now available exclusively on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
