Yesterday’s Nintendo Direct saw the emergence of a new trailer for Bayonetta 2 from PlatinumGames.
This was primarily used as a vehicle to show the rapid-action title’s new Umbran Climax mechanic, which allows protagonist Bayonetta to release all of her accumulated magic power behind a single, powerful attack. We were also introduced to an unnamed young boy who appears to be a new playable character, whilst a masked Lumen Sage also faces off against Bayonetta, their kind having been presumed extinct.
The trailer closes with Bayonetta saying “John, I’m on my way. Just behave yourself for a bit longer,” asking fans for a little more patience until the Wii U exclusive sees release later this year.
