Ravenscourt and Kemono Games have confirmed that the release date for ProtoCorgi has been delayed indefinitely.

“This wasn’t an easy decision for us, which is why we have waited so long to make this announcement: ProtoCorgi’s release will be postponed,” the developer explained in an update.

“Our goal has always been to deliver you all a day-one gaming experience that feels good and is fun to play, without bugs and bumps along the way. Over the last few weeks, we’ve come to the conclusion that ProtoCorgi, as it is now, isn’t quite yet the fully polished game we want to reveal to you. To fix that, we want to take a few more weeks to fine tune and smooth out a few rough edges.

“We apologize to all of you who have been anticipating the release. We know a lot of you have been patiently waiting and following our journey to bring Bullet to your Computers and Switches’ for a long time now, and we are so very grateful for your continuous support.

“And don’t worry! Work on ProtoCorgi IS proceeding smoothly. Once Bullet has caught those last few pesky bugs and Nixie has gotten the Switch version all ported and ready, we will be able to deliver the best possible, one-of-a-kind space Corgi experience! Until then, we will continue to keep you updated and give you your regular does of cute Corgi goodness here and on our social media channels.

“Once again, thank you so much for your patience and support. It means the world to us.”

This retro-style bark ’em up stars the cutest yet deadliest Corgi in gaming history, Bullet. The C3 class – Cute Cyber Corgi or Cosmic Combat Corgi – cybernetic pup is a military experiment and comes armed to the teeth.

After discovering that his creator, the brilliant scientist Nixie, has been kidnapped by evil alien forces seeking galactic domination, he sets out on a quest to save her.

He will need to summon all of his barking power to succeed, which will challenge you to shoot, dodge and bark your way through the stars.

ProtoCorgi will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2021.
