Revealed within Japan’s CoroCoro magazine this month, The Pokémon Company International have now shared the first gameplay trailer for The Band of Thieves & 1000 Pokémon.

Destined for the Nintendo eShop, the game sees players build a Pokémon army through StreetPass and stars thieves Raiotto and Maririn who will appear in anime feature film, Pokémon the Movie: Diancie & the Cocoon of Destruction.

Your gathered Pokémon, which appear as cut outs in an art style similar to Paper Mario, will battle increasingly stronger foes, building in strength as you claim victories.

The Band of Thieves & 1000 Pokémon will launch in Japan on June 5th, with no plans shared as yet for a western release.
