Nintendo’s reveal of the as yet unnamed The Legend of Zelda entry for Wii U stole the show at E3 2014, although apparently now it’s looking even more sumptuous.

Speaking with Weekly Famitsu, series producer Eiji Aonuma discussed how they had once again considered varying visual styles before settling on that seen in the gameplay reveal trailer. However, “Now it looks more amazing than what was shown at E3 [2014]”.

Enemy design has been similarly carefully approached, with Nintendo tasking players with tackling each with differing strategies. A key question that the development team keep asking themselves is “If an enemy like this appears, how would you beat it?” moving away from recurring enemies and bosses. Sadly, Aonuma suggests that it may not be until E3 2015 that we will see their progress.

Aonuma previously teased that the game may be “more than just a single-player experience,” although any additional details have yet to emerge since the big reveal.
