Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer‘s success in Japan continues, with the Nintendo 3DS exclusive selling another 181,377 copies in its second week.
That allowed it to remain at the top of the software chart, with Yo-kai Watch Busters: Red Cat Team and White Dog Squad coming in second with a further 84,939 copies sold. It is Splatoon that continues to show that it has long tentacles, with sales building over consecutive weeks to hit 35,620 copies this week.
It didn’t have that much of a knock on effect with Wii U hardware sales, which grew slightly to 13,007 units. Whereas the combined Nintendo 3DS family of systems shifting another 39,008 units, although that notably fell after last week’s significant boost.
