Activision announce Call of Duty: Ghosts

Having filled their teaser website, Activision have announced Call of Duty: Ghosts as the next entry within the series.

Developed by Infinity Ward, the game will be powered by a next-generation engine that promises to redefine the series through delivering a new story, setting and cast of characters.

“There are those who wear masks to hide, and those who wear masks to show us what they stand for,” a live-action teaser released alongside the announcement proclaims.

“To inspire. To unite. To defy. To strike fear in the hearts of their enemies, and hope in the hearts of their followers.”

The voiceover continues, “There are those who wear masks to protect themselves, and there are those who wear masks to protect us all.”

Call of Duty: Ghosts will launch globally on November 5th, although Activision are yet to confirm their next-generation console plans – of which they include Wii U within.
