The Pokémon Company International has revealed that ACE SPEC cards will return to the Pokémon Trading Card Game next year.
These cards were first introduced in 2012’s Pokémon TCG: Black and White Boundaries Crossed expansion, which, at the time, were “so devastating that you can only carry one into battle.”
Examples include ACE SPEC Item cards such as Computer Search, which let you discard two cards from your hand to search your deck for a specific card to put into your hand, or ACE SPEC Pokémon Tool cards like Crystal Edge, which, once attached to White Kyurem-EX, let it deal 50 more damage with each attack to the opposing Active Pokémon.
The news coincided with the announcement that Paradox Pokémon will be added to a Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet expansion later this year.
ACE SPEC cards will return in a future Pokémon Trading Card Game: Scarlet and Violet expansion in 2024.
