Nintendo has announced that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is now compatible with Nintendo Labo, letting you use the Toy-Con Motorbike from the Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 01: Variety Kit.
It becomes the first game outside of Nintendo Labo to support the interactive build-and-play kits, with more games to be made compatible in the future.
After you have downloaded the game’s latest free software update, you will be able to select the Toy-Con Motorbike as a compatible controller from the main menu.
That will let you play in TV mode or insert the Nintendo Switch console into the cardboard construction’s dashboard, and Smart Steering and Auto-Accelerate can be turned on to help newcomers race around the track.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 01: Variety Kit and Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 02: Robot Kit are now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
