A new adventure awaits you in the Alola region, but before you start your arduous journey in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon it is important to prepare.

Therefore, it is best to unlock a powerful ally first in the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Special Demo Version. Those that complete the Special Demo Version will be rewarded with the chance to send Ash-Greninja across to the full version.

Once your copy has arrived, load up the Special Demo Version and wander into the Pokémon Center.
Approach Professor Kukui on your right, and, when asked, select ‘Send to full version.’ As the option implies, you can then choose what you want to send across to the main game.

Greninja will be top of the list for everyone, although, as it is Level 36, you will have to complete two Grand Trials before it will obey you.

Depending on how much you have played the Special Demo Version, players can also obtain Items such as a Nugget, Stardust, Star Piece, 10 Pretty Wings, Balm Mushroom, and Comet Shard to transfer over.

There is a word of warning, however. If your Nintendo 3DS has either the Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon game card inserted as well as a full download version installed, the game card will be prioritised when sending data across.

Ash-Greninja

Category: Ninja Pokémon
Type: Water/Dark
Height: 4’11”
Weight: 88.2 lbs.
Ability: Battle Bond

Ash-Greninja has powered up thanks to the strength of its bonds with Ash. This is the form Greninja takes when it has gained new power due to the miraculous occurrence known as the bond phenomenon. This can be brought on by the bonds between people and Pokémon. It seems that it has only known to have occurred once—several hundred years ago.

Ash-Greninja’s leg strength has been enhanced compared to an ordinary Greninja, making it difficult to see because of the speed at which it can move. It takes its enemies out in a flash! It becomes able to make giant Water Shurikens on its back, and it can throw them in rapid succession.

Greninja that can become Ash-Greninja have an Ability that no Pokémon has ever had before—Battle Bond. The Battle Bond Ability triggers this Pokémon’s form change to Ash-Greninja after it causes an opponent’s Pokémon to faint. When the battle ends, the Pokémon returns to its original Greninja form. This form is only for battles where it needs to break the limits!

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in North America, Australia and New Zealand on November 18th, and in Europe on November 23rd.
