We now know that Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will release on Nintendo Switch in April, but another question that Square Enix has now answered is whether or not both role-playing games will be included on the same game card.
Sadly, it’s bad news. In the product listing on the official Square Enix Store, the publisher writes: “Final Fantasy X HD Remaster available on game card. Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster game content is download only. Single-use voucher included. Internet connection required. microSD card may be required.”
Final Fantasy X follows the story of superstar blitzball player Tidus, whose fate becomes intertwined with the young summoner Yuna as she sets out on a pilgrimage to save the world of Spira from an endless cycle of destruction.
And then Final Fantasy X-2 returns players to Spira two years later. When Yuna is shown a mysterious but familiar image in a sphere, she becomes a Sphere Hunter and, with her companions Rikku and Paine, travel the world to uncover answers to the mystery within.
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will release for Nintendo Switch worldwide on April 16th.
So far it has only been confirmed for the European version through Square Enix’s UK store.
