Weekly Famitsu has published their Fire Emblem: Three Houses review within the Japanese gaming magazine’s illustrious pages this week, delivering the first verdict on the upcoming turn-based tactical RPG.
That has seen their Cross Review, a panel that is comprised of four reviewers that each provides their own individual score, award the game with 37 out of a maximum possible score of 40 – which, broken down, saw it receive three 9 and one 10 scores.
The other Nintendo Switch games that they reviewed were Kill La Kill IF (32 out of 40), Tokyo 2020 Olympics (33 out of 40), Super Mario Maker 2 (37 out of 40), SteamWorld Quest (32 out of 40), Shadow of Loot Box (24 out of 40) and Furwind (29 out of 40).
In Fire Emblem: Three Houses, there are three noble houses in the Black Eagles, Blue Lions, and Golden Deer. These are part of the Officer’s Academy, which is an elite facility that trains students in the ways of weapons, magic, and special skills.
You will play as a professor and must choose one of the three houses to lead their students in grid-based battles with life-or-death stakes.
The houses each have many different students to meet and train, that each has his or her own personality and skills. They will interact with each other at the academy, strengthing their bonds in a way that will see them support each other on the battlefield.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on July 26th.
