It has been announced that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword has received a nomination within the ‘Game of the Year’ category of Spike TV’s 2011 Video Game Awards.
The Spike TV 2011 VGAs are due to be hosted live on Saturday 10th December at 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT on Spike TV in high-definition, and will once again deliver exclusive world premieres and information from the most anticipated games of 2012 and beyond.
Already announced guests are to include legendary game designer Hideo Kojima who will reveal the truth about Metal Gear Solid: Rising with a spectacular world premiere, the announcement of a new project and new studio from BioWare, and the return of Xbox 360 exclusive Alan Wake in an all-new adventure.
Alongside this, Spike TV announced the nominees in two of the night’s most hotly contended categories, Game of the Year and Most Anticipated Game, which are as follows:
