The Nintendo World Championships 2015 threw up a second surprise, when competitors found themselves pitted against one another in unannounced Nintendo 3DS exclusive Blast Ball.
The three-on-three futuristic multiplayer game sees two teams face off in an arena, piloting mechs as they work together to literally blast a ball toward their opponent’s goal.
The mechs can take damage, eventually being destroyed as the pilots eject only to quickly return suited in a replacement. When you eventually score, each successive round will see the goal become smaller making it more challenging as the match continues.
