Nintendo of Europe have today revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, set to be released for Nintendo 3DS across the region on June 17th, is to include an all-new Boss Challenge mode.

Provided as an extra treat for those that have reached a certain point within the game, the Boss Challenge mode will allow players to face any of the bosses that they have previously faced again, or to even battle them one-by-one in a continuous battle.

Further to this, it has also been re-confirmed that Master Quest mode will be included. Adding a heightened degree of difficulty, this will see players see some surprising changes to the game. Puzzles will be more challenging, whereas items and enemies will also be found in different locations than that seen within the original game. You’ll also find that the land of Hyrule has also been reversed as locations mirrored, with enemies proving to be more difficult combatants to best.

In addition, those exploring the game for the first time will also be able to make use of a series of bite-sized videos available in-game that will provide hints on how to solve puzzles encountered during your journey.

  1. Was Master Quest’s main world map mirrored in the original version? I can’t remember.

Still, the boss challenge mode sounds awesome, since it’s something I wished was in the Legend of Zelda series since maybe A Link to the Past (Majora’s Mask let you refight them and Spirit Tracks had a boss rush mini game, but few of the main series games let you refight all the bosses)

Glad to know Nintendo is adding new stuff to Ocarina of Time 3D.
