Teams from around the world battled for dominance in the 2017 Splatoon 2 World Inkling Invitational this week, with Deadbeat (USA) emerging victorious.
They denied Dynameu (Japan) to become global champions, defeating their rivals 4-1 in the increasingly tense Grand Final.
The opposing four-person teams had competed in a best-of-seven final round that saw them ink it out in Ranked Battle modes. Deadbeat took the upper hand, and now have their name engraved on a special Splatoon 2 trophy.
Splatoon 2 will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on July 21st.
