PQube and IndieLeague Studio have confirmed that Zengeon has been delayed into 2021 “to allow for extra development time across consoles.”

The anime action role-playing game and roguelite has taken inspiration from ancient Chinese culture and deities, challenging you to recover Memory Fragments randomly scattered in each level to uncover the story.

Whether playing solo or teaming up with up to three players in online multiplayer, there are six Celestial College students to choose from that each controls a Guardian spirit to help them defeat the hordes of darkness.

Defeat will see you lose everything except for the Memory Fragments that you retrieved on your run, meaning that you will need to think fast to overcome the random enemies, bosses and puzzles that will confront you.

Zengeon will release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2021.
