With The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD now available and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds but a month away, you’d think that Link deserved a rest from his Hylian escapades.

Nintendo, however, have other plans. Asked by Mashable as to when we can expect news to drop regarding the new Wii U entry, Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma replied: “I’ll say more at E3 2014.”

As we now well know the company has been keen to surprise us through their regular Nintendo Direct presentations, so there’s always the chance that we could learn something before then. For now though, we’ll continue to mourn the fact we didn’t see it at E3 2013 and continue to ponder how it will defy conventions the series has long held.
