If you are looking for rupee farming methods in The Legend of Zelda: Tear of the Kingdom, then we’re here to help provide you with some pointers.

YouTube channel Arekkz Gaming has covered what they believe are the three best ways to farm rupees in Link’s latest adventure, and we’d recommend checking out their video below to see these methods in action.

The first is the Wings Challenge, which is on Eventide Island far in the southeast corner of Hyrule. Before you are able to use this method, you will need to speak to Sesami on Toronbo Beach who will task you with completing the side adventure Seeking the Pirate Hideout. This will challenge you to clear the island of Bokoblin pirates, leading you to discover their pirate ship moored in a cave at the back of it.

After returning to Sesami to complete the side adventure and receive your reward, you will want to return to the highest point on Eventide Island – above where the Bokoblin pirate ship was – where you will discover Branli and Mimo (Coordinates 4730, -3754, 0109).

They are performing flight research using a Zonai glider and will ask if you would like to help. This will cost you 20 Rupees each time you would like to participate, but, you can earn 100 Rupees from it if you succeed in landing a glider at the centre of a target. If you can get the glider above the target, you can cast and then remove Recall from it to cause it to lose all momentum and drop straight down. You can repeat this minigame to bump up your rupee count.

The next method the YouTube channel suggests is using amiibo. For those that have them, you can scan your amiibo collection daily to be rewarded with random clothing, weapons and material drops, which you can then sell to merchants in-game for rupees. The clothing can be sold for as much as 600 rupees, although your rupee farming rate will depend on the randomised drops you receive each day.

Their last suggestion is hunting for Prime Meat and Raw Gourmet Meat, which will require that you first complete the Wind Temple in the Hebra region. The resources you will need are bows, arrows, clothing that offers suitable at least one star of cold resistance and a horse.

You will then want to head to Snowfield Stable in the South Tabantha Snowfield (Coordinates: -1642, 2567, 0234), riding around the area while looking for stags, deers, wolves and bears.

Aim with your bow and then leap from your horse to slow down time to make hunting your prey easier – headshots will save you arrows – and collect up all the Raw Prime Meat and Raw Gourmet Meat that they drop. Be careful though, as if the weather is icy – look for a snowflake icon where the in-game clock is – your meat can quickly turn into an Icy Prime Meat or Icy Gourmet Meat which cannot be cooked.

Keep going until you need a break, and then cook a meal using either five Raw Prime Meat, five Raw Gourmet Meat or whatever you have left as ingredients. This should see Link produce a Meat Skewer, which can be sold for more than 300 rupees each at any merchant.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
