Nintendo have announced that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was able to achieve sales of more than 600,000 during its first week of sales in North America, according to figures produced by the NPD Group.
The game also celebrated the biggest first day sales for an entry within the history of the beloved franchise.
The Wii itself also saw sales spur, aided by Black Friday, leading to the console reaching a 37.7 million install base.
