Nintendo has announced details for the United Kingdom regarding The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony Concert Tour.

To be held at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London for “a one-off European date”, fans will be able to enjoy hand-picked music from the series by Nintendo composer Koji Kondo and his team. This means that European fans will need to jet across to the UK to attend the event in London, as there are no plans for a further tour date on the continent!

A 70-piece orchestra is to be joined by a choir as they perform new arrangements of a variety of music from the series’ 25-year history.

Ticket prices for the London concert start at £33.75 and will be available starting on 8th August 2011 from www.ticketmaster.co.uk / www.zelda-symphony.com.

“The Legend of Zelda series is famous for its beautiful music and we are thrilled to celebrate 25 years of memorable soundtracks from this iconic series by letting a symphony orchestra bring this music to life,” comments Laurent Fischer, Managing Director of Marketing & PR for Nintendo of Europe. “The symphony orchestra concert in London will allow fans from across Europe to come together and show their love for all things Zelda while enjoying a truly unique performance & experience.”

Executive producer Jason Michael Paul adds “The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony Concert Tour brings one of the video game industry’s most exciting and enduring franchises to the concert hall and presents what we feel is the definitive concert experience for the series. It’s an event that fans and music aficionados won’t want to miss.”
