Guinness World Records surprised professional YouTube star Ali-A by awarding him with two Guinness World Records for his popular channel.
The world records were for ‘Most popular Call of Duty Channel by views’ and ‘Most popular Call of Duty Channel by subscribers,’ and were described as “a testament to his phenomenal dedication to his fans and gaming.”
Ali-A (Alistair Aiken) has amassed more than 6,176,412 subscribers and over 1,352,371,065 views on his channel, with such numbers recorded as of 11th June 2015. He had been working with Guinness World Records to attempt two new challenges at Legends of Gaming LIVE, with the results to be revealed shortly.
“I never thought it would get this big, its crazy!” Ali-A shared. “Having these two plaques really bring it home… its absolutely insane!”
Legends of Gaming LIVE will be held between Friday 4th – Sunday 6th September 2015 at London’s Alexandra Palace, with the Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition 2016 being on sale from Thursday 10th September.
