Google has confirmed that it is “working with Nintendo” to make a YouTube for Nintendo Switch 2 app available on the Nintendo eShop.
Nintendo has been hard at work performing extensive tests for the original Nintendo Switch, making sure that the portable home console’s software is compatible with its successor.
The YouTube for Nintendo Switch app, sadly, has been marked as “unsupported” on Nintendo Switch 2. When you try to boot the app on the console, a message appears that reads: “Could not start the software.”
Here’s hoping that won’t be the case for long, as, in a response on social media, the Team YouTube account wrote: “We’re working with Nintendo to make YouTube available on the Switch 2 soon.”
Nintendo Switch 2 is now available at retailers around the world, priced at £395.99 in the United Kingdom, €469.99 across Europe, and $449.99 in the United States.
