Youkai Watch 2 sells 1.28 million copies in just four days

LEVEL-5 will surely be pleased at news that Youkai Watch 2 has entirely outsold its predecessor in a matter of four days.

Famitsu reports that the 3DS exclusive’s opening week sales have surpassed 1,281,096 copies, an enviable number that doesn’t even include digital sales. Comparatively, the original Youkai Watch currently sits at 1,176,134 sales as of last week.

Ahead of the game’s July 10th launch, Japanese sales tracker Media Create had shared that pre-orders alone sat at over 814,000 copies, with there having been two versions available to purchase: Ganso and Honke.
