Nintendo and SEGA have revealed that you can compete in retro-themed events in Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
Taking their inspiration from the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games, there are 10 classic 2D events to participate in: 100m, 400m Hurdles, Long Jump, 10m Platform, Vault, Kayak, Judo, Volleyball, Shooting, and Marathon.
In Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, you will have the chance to play as Mario, Sonic, Yoshi, Amy Rose, Luigi, Dr. Eggman, and many more, as you go for gold in action-packed sports games.
There are four new events that have been introduced in Skateboarding, Karate, Surfing, and Sport Climbing.
And, the game supports both button play and motion controls in multiplayer game modes – whether that be with up to four players locally, or up to eight online.
Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch in North America on November 5th, and in Europe on November 8th.
