We now know how the Yarn Poochy amiibo will interact with Nintendo 3DS exclusive Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World.
Nintendo has also revealed plans to release an update for the game’s Wii U counterpart, which will become available on 3rd February 2017. This will specifically add compatibility with the Yarn Poochy amiibo which, when scanned, will allow players to summon Poochy.
It’s unclear whether the update will introduce the same breadth of content that the knitted pup will enjoy on Nintendo 3DS, with Nintendo seemingly implying that Yoshi’s woollen companion will help sniff out secrets rather than allow access to the Time Attack missions.
Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World will release exclusively on Nintendo 3DS in Europe and North America on 3rd February 2017.
