LEVEL-5 has released a teaser trailer for Yo-kai Watch 4, hinting at the direction that the developer has taken for the game.
In it, we learn that the Yo-kai Arks can be used as keys to open doors to other worlds. These were introduced in the Yo-kai Watch Shadowside series, and are said to represent the feelings that connect Yo-kai and humans together. They are a reward to those that complete a Yo-kai’s needs.
We first see Yo-kai Watch Shadowside: The Return of the Oni King movie protagonist Natsume Amano use her Yo-kai Ark to unlock a door, then Shin Shimomachi, from the upcoming Yo-kai Watch: Forever Friends movie, and Yo-kai Watch series protagonist Nathan Adams to close.
Yo-kai Watch 4 will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch across Japan in 2018.
