With the first game selling faster in Europe than it did in Japan, Nintendo of Europe will look to spur that interest when Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits and Yo-kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls release in April.

We rejoin Nate who, when fast asleep one night, has his memories wiped by two sinister Yo-kai. The next day he once again stumbles on the Mysterious Memory Store where he is reunited with his Yo-kai Watch and Yo-kai pales Jibanyan and Whisper.

In this epic adventure, players can choose to play as Nate or Katie as they travel through time to discover the reasons behind mysteries and disturbances in Springdale, which will also let them discover the origins of the first ever Yo-kai Watch.

It is the special Yo-kai named Hovernyan that will teach them how to journey through time, letting them visit their hometown as it was 60 years ago. Switching between past and present will be key as they investigate the Wicked Yo-kai, as well as helping local residents in more than 80 side quests. Completing these will reward players with a chance to discover new Yo-kai and receive useful items that will help them on their adventures.

Players can now trade Yo-kai Medals online for the first time and can create a team of their favourite Yo-kai to challenge friends in a multiplayer mode. Win or lose, players will earn Battle Points that can be used to buy items in the Official BP Shop that will help power up or release imprisoned Yo-kai.

Each version of Yo-kai Watch 2 will include five exclusive and unique Yo-kai that can be traded locally or online with other players. Those with each version can also compete against each other in weekly Bony vs Fleshy army battles online, hoping to see their chosen team emerges victorious.

Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits and Yo-kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls will release exclusively on Nintendo 3DS in Europe on April 7th.
