With Xenoblade Chronicles X now a week away from the Wii U exclusive’s Japanese launch, Nintendo have shared a rather dark story trailer for Monolith Soft’s open world RPG.
Opening with Earth exploding, it largely revolves around humanity’s fight for survival having taken refuge on Planet Mira. Rebuilding for the future with their New Los Angeles colony, the planet’s inhabitants aren’t particularly welcoming of their new visitors.
The story trailer’s entirely populated by in-engine cutscenes, largely showcasing battle scenarios where humanity fight against the hostile aliens.
Xenoblade Chronicles X will release exclusively for Wii U in Japan on April 29th, and in the west later this year.
