Xenoblade Chronicles X producer Shingo Kawabata has shared praise for the “outstanding” Japanese voiceover cast, who were “exceptionally professional” while recording the heavy amount of dialogue for the Wii U exclusive.

Siliconera reports that Monolith Soft have so far revealed five of the voiceover cast working on the game, namely Houko Kuwashima (Elma), Mariya Ise (Lynlee), Daisuke Sakaguchi (Tatsu), Nao Takamori (Irina) and Tessho Genda (Van Damme).

“I wasn’t really informed of this, but it seems we’re planning on updating the official site every week,” Kawabata wrote on Twitter. “I wonder if we’ll be all right? Then again, Nomura and the web design staff are extremely motivated, so I’m sure they’ll work hard for your sake.”

He continued, “As we present our characters, we’re also revealing the people that have lent us their voices. We’ve managed to acquire an outstanding cast, so you can look forward to hearing their work. As there was such a large amount of text, recording [the voices] took a lot of work, but the entire cast was exceptionally professional. The end result, of course, is perfection.”

Wii’s Xenoblade Chronicles allowed players to choose between Japanese or English voice acting, so we’re hopeful that the successor will retain the same option.

Xenoblade Chronicles X launches exclusively for Wii U in Europe and North America in 2015.
