Xenoblade Chronicles 3D’s file size weighs in at 3.78GB

Those looking to purchase Xenoblade Chronicles 3D digitally through the Nintendo eShop will need to prepare for their newfound adventure, and that goes beyond merely shouting “I’m really feeling it!”

The New Nintendo 3DS exclusive is to become one of the handheld’s largest games, gobbling up 3.78GB worth of space on your microSD Card. Beyond that, it becomes rather muddled as to whether this can be squeezed on the pre-installed microSD card that comes with the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL.

Nintendo UK’s website warns, “The download version of Xenoblade Chronicles 3D does not fit on the microSD card included with New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL systems: an 8GB or larger microSD card is required to download this game from Nintendo eShop.”

However, that contradicts Nintendo of America’s website which states, “Please note that this title will take up nearly 4GB of space on the New Nintendo 3DS XL system’s pre-installed 4GB microSDHC card.”

  1. It dosnt contradict anything, i’m going to presume the Uk version will have more languages on it compared to the American version only having the one. That alone would contribute as to why the Uk one needs a larger card.

    Much love

    • Hi Ryichi, thanks for the comment – the UK version’s actually the same size!
