Nintendo and Monolith Soft have released a new software update for Xenoblade Chronicles 3, which now sees the game on version 1.1.0.

This has addressed “several minor issues” to improve your gameplay experience, along with adding support for the game’s Expansion Pass.

Set in a new world that will “connect the futures” of Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2, you will play as protagonists Noah and Mio “amid turmoil between the hostile nations of Keves and Agnus.”

There will be six characters from those nations that will join you in a grand tale with “life” as its central theme, who search for the truth behind their conflict and set their sights for Swordsmarch – a land pierced by a giant sword.

You will journey to end the cycle of violence between the two opposing nations, having the chance to customise your party and change their classes to better suit the situations you are confronted with. If certain conditions are met in battle, each of the tag-team pairs – Noah and Mio, Lanz and Sena or Eunie and Taion – can combine into a giant form called Ouroboros that each has its own powerful moveset.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 29th July 2022.
