At the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017, Nintendo chose to reveal that Monolith Soft is hard at work developing Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

With Tetsuya Takahashi returning as executive director and Masatsugu Saito enlisted as character designer, the expansive RPG will see a new hero seek out Elysium as they journey across a brand-new world.

There isn’t much more that we know about it at this stage, but the music has been penned by Yasunori Mitsuda, ACE (Tomori Kudo, CHiCO), Kenji Hiramatsu and Manami Kiyota.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch in 2017.
