Take-Two Interactive has announced that WWE 2K18 will see release on Nintendo Switch.

That marks the first time in five years that such a game has let us piledrive on a Nintendo platform – the last chance having been WWE ’13 on Wii. WWE 2K18 cover Superstar Seth Rollins appeared in a special video announced the news in a special video, which you can see below.

As with the other versions, players can enjoy eight-man matches, a new grapple carry system, new weight detection, thousands of new animations and a massive backstage area, with a new rendering engine lending the entire experience a visual overhaul.

The MyCareer experience will let you free-roam backstage to converse with WWE Superstars, form alliances, make enemies, seek out quests and strategise for upcoming matches.

While WWE 2K18 will boast the most complete roster of WWE and NXT Superstars and Legends to ever grace a WWE ring, you can also try and make it to the WWE Hall of Fame with your own MyPlayer.

Road to Glory will see you compete with opponents online to improve your MyPlayer with unlockables, boosts and upgrades while letting you secure entry to special events that take place alongside real-life WWE special events.

With a deeper set of customisation tools and a new Custom Match option, players can also use the Creation Suite for Create-a-Superstar, Create-a-Video and Create-an-Arena.

Plus, those that pre-order WWE 2K18 at participating retailers will receive Kurt Angle’s WWE “American Hero” persona (2001) and his ECW “Wresting Machine” persona (2006).

WWE 2K18 will release for Nintendo Switch worldwide this fall.
