Nacon has confirmed that WRC Generations: The FIA WRC Official Game will release on Nintendo Switch.
The next iteration from KT Racing, the game will echo WRC’s transition to the “hybrid era” which will affect performance, change strategies and force drivers and their teams to adapt.
This has seen the developer introduce new gameplay mechanics to represent the demands of hybrid engines, challenging you “to carefully manage your battery by adapting your engine mapping throughout the special stages you take part in.”
The new Leagues mode will let you compete against opponents with a similar level online, while a “completely redesigned” Rally Sweden environment has been added that will introduce six brand-new special stages to the game.
Promising “more content than ever before in a rally game,” WRC Generations: The FIA WRC Official Game will include:
- 750 km of unique special stages in 22 countries
- 49 teams from the 2022 season (Rally1 / Rally2 / Junior WRC)
- 37 legendary cars plus additional bonuses
- 165 timed special stages
WRC Generations: The FIA WRC Official Game will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S worldwide on 13th October 2022, and will launch at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch “at a later date.”
