Team17 has revealed that their real-time action game Worms Rumble will release on Nintendo Switch next week.
You will have the chance to participate in fast-paced real-time combat against up to 32-players across six arenas, with five solo and team-based modes to conquer that include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and the battle royale mode Last Worm Standing.
With support for cross-play matchmaking, you will be able to customise your worm from more than 1,000 options covering everything from outfits and hats to personalising your weapons with unlockable skins. The Nintendo Switch version will also come with a free exclusive Patchwork Bear outfit.
The game comes to the portable home console alongside the sixth arena, Spaceport Showdown, being released. This joins the existing maps – Deadly Dockyard, Battlegrounds Bank, Missile Mall, Portal Park and Transforming Towers -and “features a new, randomly generated, low-gravity mechanic that slows the action down during battle.”
Worms Rumble will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 23rd June 2021 with a 25 percent pre-order discount now available. It will then hit retailers with a physical edition that includes the game’s case and a downloadable game code from 13th July 2021.
