Saber Interactive has released a free software update for World War Z on Nintendo Switch, which is now on version 1.0.8.

Those playing on the portable home console can now take on the Marseille story campaign episode and the infamous Horde Mode Z. The update has also added the ability for up to four players to team up in local campaign co-op multiplayer – although this is not compatible with the Horde Mode Z and PvPvZ modes.

Taking inspiration from Paramount Pictures’ blockbuster film, the “heart-pounding” third-person co-op shooter challenges you to turn the tide of the zombie apocalypse.

From New York to Moscow, Jerusalem and more, the zombie infestation continues to spread. With humanity standing on the brink of extinction, a hardened few bands together to fight back against the swarming horde and do their best to outlive the dead.

The game originally came to the portable home console with “all content from the Game of the Year Edition of World War Z.”

World War Z is now available at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
