ININ Games and STUDIOARTDINK have announced that Wonder Boy: Asha In Monster World will release on Nintendo Switch.

With developers involved that had worked on the original game, this has seen them look to deliver a fully remastered version of 1994’s Wonder Boy IV.

That team is led and directed by Wonder Boy series creator Ryuichi Nishizawa with support from Shinichi Sakamoto (sound), Maki Ōzora (character design) and Takanori Kurihara (creative management).

After the game’s green-haired heroine Asha becomes involved in a serious incident that affects the survival of her world, she sets out to save it with Pepelogoo, her cute blue flying friend. They must work together to become the heroes that their worlds needs them to be.

Wonder Boy: Asha In Monster World will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2021.
