Chucklefish has announced that their “spellbinding” witch life sim Witchbrook has been delayed into next year.

“We have an important update to share about Witchbrook. Originally, we had planned to launch Winter 2025, but despite great development progress this year, we’ve made the difficult decision to shift the release into next year,” the developer shared in an update.

“Witchbrook is a big project – and it’s taking shape exactly as we hoped; full of charm, depth and detail! In our first blog, we shared our goal to create a living, breathing world for you to explore, and as we bring all those elements together, we’re taking the time needed to ensure the world feels rich, immersive, and alive.”

The developer continued: “The extra time we’re letting the cauldron bubble has opened the door to exploring a few additional exciting opportunities, including additional platforms and language support we hadn’t initially planned! More details on this as soon as we can share them.”

In Witchbrook, you will have the chance to enrol at Witchbrook College and immerse yourself in a charming world of magic, friendship and discovery.

Arriving as the newest resident witch in the bustling seaside city of Mossport. Experiencing magical academia together, you will make friends, find love and discover a world filled with wonder and charm on your road to graduation.

Witchbrook will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide in 2026.
