During Nintendo’s results briefing earlier today, global president Satoru Iwata has revealed the name of the Google Map service headed to Wii U.
This will appear under the unremarkable name of Wii Street U (translation from David Gibson), the application having previously been showcased within a recent Nintendo Direct.
Such collaboration with Google was previously scheduled to be made available by the end of January, but will now arrive across Japan before mid-February.
Free to download for a limited period, users will be able to zoom in to ground level using Google Maps Street View, making use of the Wii U GamePad’s gyro sensor to look around yourself using physical movement.
